Dehradun: Uttarakhand Irrigation, Flood Control, Minor Irrigation, Rain Water Harvesting, Watershed Management, Indo-Nepal Uttarakhand River Projects, Tourism,Religious Tourism, Religious Fairs and Culture Minister, Mr. Satpal Maharaj met N. Bala Kumar, Managing Director of Galaxy International Education Foundation, London associated with global culture and educational activities at his office in Vidhan Sabha on Monday.
The meeting was aimed at developing Uttarakhand as the yoga capital and to link employment opportunities with tourism and culture. N Bala Kumar said that organization can play an important role in providing foreign tourists to Uttarakhand, shifting of foreign technology, skill development in tourism sector, foreign income through culture and generating employment opportunities for youth.
The trained Yoga teachers can impart training in genuine yoga in foreign countries. There is a need of Yoga, certification course, and degree in the country and abroad and can generate employment opportunities and source of income for youth.
Dr Sunil Maggo has apprised that Galaxy International Education Foundation, London is accredited with British Accreditation Council like UGC in India. The foundation can act research centre for providing training in tourist guide and travel agents and through certificates, diploma and degree courses in skill development can generate employment opportunities for youth in the country and abroad. Kartik Srinivasan ,Project Manager and PRO was also present.
