Dehradun: Uttarakhand Minister of Urban Development, Housing, Rajiv Gandhi Urban Housing, Census, Reorganization and Elections, Mr. Madan Kaushik today convened a meeting to discuss the Haridwar-Rishikesh beautification under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund at Uttarakhand Sadan, New Delhi. Mr. Kaushik instructed Haridwar District Magistrate/Mela Adhikari to present a plan for the beatification project. In this regard, Kaushik, along with administrative officials, also visited Akshardham temple and met the Swami of Akshardham.
Mr. Kaushik further said that the said project would be completed before the Kumbh Mela. Stressing on the need for the cleanliness at the Har Ki Pauri under the Haridwar beautification project, Mr. Kaushik issued instructions for proper arrangements for lights, trash bins and sanitation at Haridwar and Rishikesh. He also said that Mela would be completely high-tech and Wi-Fi enabled, while adding that CCTV Cameras and Drones would be brought in use to ensure fool proof security arrangements at the Mela.
On this occasion, prominent among others present Urban Development Secretary RK Sudhashu, Haridwar DM Deepak Rawat, Vice-President and Secretary Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) Nitin Bhadauria and Banshidhar Tiwari respectively.
