State government committed to make Kailash Mansarovar yatra successful & smooth: CM Trivendra

Almora: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat today met the 9th batch pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and asked about their well being. He assured proper arrangements at the yatra routes, while adding that state government is committed to make the yatra successful and smooth. In order to ensure that pilgrims do not face any type of problem, instructions have already been issued to the officers. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the pilgrims of Harela festival and said that every person must take a pledge to plant one sapling. The batch will start from Almora to Pithoragarh only after the weather clears.

The batch comprises total of 54 pilgrims, which includes 42 male and 12 females. In the 54 member batch, pilgrims from 14 states are there. There are two liaison officers Roshan Lal Sharma and Ramesh Kumar Negi in the batch. The batch includes pilgrims as follows: Andhra Pradesh (1), Delhi (3), Gujarat (14), Karnataka (2), Kerala (1), Madhya Pradesh (5), Maharashtra (6), Rajasthan (7), Tamilnadu (1), Telangana (4), Uttarakhand (1), Haryana (1), Jammu & Kashmir (1) and Uttar Pradesh (7).

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta, Minister of State for Women Welfare and Child Development Rekha Arya, Vidhan Sabha Vice-President Raghunath Singh Chauhan BJP State President Ajay Bhatt, District Magistrate Eva Ashish Srivastava, SSP P. Renuka Devi and other eminent personalities were present.
