Dehradun: Minister Yashpal Arya, a review meeting of the schemes being operated by Uttarakhand Multipurpose Finance and Development Corporation was held.
In the meeting, the minister expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the recovery of the loan distribution in the last 3 years under the 20-point programme. He said that in the matter of subsidy being given in Multi-Purpose Finance Development Corporation operated and funded schemes, while informing the Panchayat members, village heads, gram sewak and public representatives, effective propagation of the schemes should also be done.
It was said in the meeting that in addition to cow, buffalo, goat rearing, in the new areas of organic farming, mushroom products, fishery production, floriculture, bee keeping, the corporation’s schemes should be run. In addition to this, the Minister said that these schemes should also be dovetailed with MNREGA scheme.
It was instructed in the meeting to schemes which are not practical should be discontinued after reviewing them. The officers of the corporation were instructed that the B.D.C. must participate in meetings and special incentive should be accorded to traditional handicraft schemes. This can benefit the lower sections of the society and will help prevent migration from the hill areas. In the meeting instructions have been given to give special incentive to the women’s self-help group.
Pertaining to the schemes of the Corporation, for the distribution of loan, camp will be organized in Dehradun and Haldwani this month. Chief Minister will also be present there.
On this occasion, Managing Director Dr. V. Shanmugam, General Manager Yogendra Rawat, Deputy General Manager S.S.Rawat and officials of all the districts related to the department and public relations officer Vijay Bhatt were present.
