New recruitment for Home Guards in state soon: CM Rawat

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced a new recruitment of 1111 male and female Home Guards in the state soon. Chief Minister has approved the increase in the allocated funds in the welfare fund for the dependents of the Home Guards soldiers, who sacrificed their lives on duty. Expecting participation by the home guards and civil defence personnel in the rejuvenation of Rispana, Chief Minister said that we firmly believe that water will come in Rispana. He said that “Rispana to Rishiparna” mission will surely be successful with the widespread public participation and Rispana will be revived.

Speaking at the programme organized on the occasion of the Raising Day of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Organization at Home Guards Directorate, Nanur Khera Dehradun on Thursday, Chief Minister said that with hard work, dedication and selfless spirit, the jawans of home guards are discharging important responsibility of maintaining peace, law and order, traffic management, fairs, cultural programmes and system maintenance during the Board examination. Along with this, they are extending cooperation in tourism, Char Dham Yatra, forest fire control, rejuvenation of Rispana and plantation.

On this occasion, Chief Minister also took the salute of the ceremonial parade of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Organization. Chief Minister congratulated and greeted the Home Guards and Civil Defecse Organization for the excellent performance in the Parade. Chief Minister also handed over the insurance assistance money and welfare fund money to the wives of the late Home Guard volunteer who sacrificed their lives on duty. Chief Minister also conferred awards for the meritorious services to senior staff officer Amitabh Shrivastav, Rajiv Balooni, Ekta Uniyal, Division Commandant Lalit Mohan Joshi, Staff Officer Rahul Sachan etc. On this occasion, Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Secretary Home Nitesh Kumar Jha were present.
