The Indian stand-up comedian- actor has become the riskiest celebrity searched online in 2017, and bagged the title of “most sensational celebrity” online.
According to the reports conducted by McAfee says, the noted comedian becomes the first Indian comedian to top McAfee’s annual list beating actors Salman Khan on number 2 and Aamir Khan on number 3.
The McAfee WebAdvisor conducted a research to find out the number of risky websites which was allegedly generated by searches on Google, Bing, and Yahoo which included the celebrity name.
It was reported that searching for the actor Salman Khan resulted in 9.03 percent whereas for Aamir Khan the tally resulted in 8.89 percent
McAfee Head of R&D Operations Venkat Krishnapur said, “With today’s digital explosion, the gap between celebrities and their fans has diminished. There is a looming interest among Indians to know more about their favorite icons, for which there is a deluge of fresh and readily consumable content made available”.
Adding further to this he said, “It’s important for consumers to be vigilant and ensure they are searching safely. Thinking before clicking is as imperative as adopting the right security solutions to stay safe online”.
It was observed that the research also includes the name of Priyanka Chopra, Sunny Leone, Ranveer Singh, Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Anushka Sharma.
