Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the newly constructed office building of Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of Uttarakhand on Ring Road, Dehradun.
Extending congratulations and good wishes to the Food Department for the newly constructed office building of Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Chief Minister said that all the offices of the Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs at one place will be good for the public. Chief Minister said that this building constructed on the Green Building Concept has been given 3 star rating. Today, all scientists are emphasizing the concept of green building keeping in mind the environmental interests. Green Energy, Bio Fuel etc. are being encouraged especially by the Prime Minister.
Notably, the construction cost of office building of Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department is Rs 745.17 lakh. The construction of the four storey building at 0.296 hectare area has been constructed on the Green Building Concept. Making the provision of the ACC Block Eco Friendly in the building, it has been built through Sandwich Walls, so that the temperature inside the building is optimized. The building has been made in such a manner that in case of no electricity in the building, there is provision of using natural light. Solar Panel 10 KV has been provided in the building so that electricity can be used less. The building has been given 3 star rating. Tehri Garhwal MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, legislator Umesh Sharma Kau and Commissioner (Food)/Principal Secretary Anand Bardhan were present on the occasion.
