CM Rawat release ‘Naman Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat released the presentation titled “Naman Uttarakhand” of Jaunsar Bavar Sanskritik Lok Kala Manch at his residence on Thursday.

Lyricister and Director Nand Lal Bharati informed that the folk songs based on ‘Puranic’ arts which were getting extinct have been compiled in this presentation.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that state government is committed to promote folk culture of Uttarakhand. The ancient culture and traditions of Uttarakhand will have to be jointly preserved.

The Chief Minister said that collection of folk songs compiled by Nandlal Bharti, based on ‘Puranic’ arts which were becoming extinct, will inspire youth towards our ancient heritage and customs. He said that it is necessary to revive old folk songs, dances and musical instruments, and to conserve and enhance this unique heritage of Uttarakhand. He said that people have understood and promoted the importance of folk culture and folk art. A sense of belonging has been raised among people in the field of art and culture. “ To promote Uttarakhand’s culture, it has been decided to make a cultural village in which, the entire culture of Uttarakhand, glimpses of different styles, food, clothing and heritage will all be available at one place,” announced the Chief Minister.

 Lyricist and Director Nand Lal Bharti said that efforts have been made to introduce Uttarakhand through audio songs in ‘Naman Uttarkhand’. Efforts have been made to express the traditions, culture, lifestyle, faith-belief and customs of Uttarakhand through songs.
