CM Rawat gives relief of Rs. Two lakh each to electrocuted children

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has sanctioned a sum of Rs. Two lakh each as financial relief to four children hailing from Chamoli and Tehri districts who suffered burn injuries due to electrocution by power pole and transformer in different incidents. The injured including Jagveer Singh of Dharbagar Gairsain of Chamoli district, Shashank, Luxmi and Ritika of village Maroda of Tehri district are undergoing treatment at Mahant Indresh Hospital.

On the instructions of Chief Minister, his Media Adviser Mr. Ramesh Bhatt has been visiting the hospital to enquire about the health condition of the children. He has also instructed the doctors to provide best possible treatment to the injured children.

 It has to be mentioned that during the review meeting of the power department Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed concern at the electrocution incidents and instructed the officials to take effective steps to keep a check on such accidents.

 He had directed that accident prone places in every power division should be identified and the shortcomings should be removed with immediate effect.  The Chief Minister had also instructed that a campaign should be launched to rectify loose electric wires. He also asked the power department to immediately release relief amount in such accident by showing human sensitivity.
