Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat on the Hindi Journalism Day has congratulated all the media representatives, particularly those associated with Hindi media. On the eve of the Hindi Journalism Day, in his message, Chief Minister said that role of Hindi journalism in preventing many types of social evils in the 19th century, as well as in the Indian Independence Movement, has been very significant. Through the medium of Hindi newspapers and magazines, the journalists did the work of mass awareness in the society.
Hindi journalism has always been synonymous with missionary spirit. In the form of fourth pillar of democracy, journalism is playing an important role in country’s political, economic, social, cultural and various other areas. He said that Hindi journalism has a golden history in Uttarakhand. From freedom movement to Uttarakhand Statehood agitation, the journalists from Uttarakhand have done the work of public awareness through their writing. Today, in the era of advanced technology and social media, Hindi journalism faces new challenges but on ther other side, its relevance has also increased.
