We all must understand importance of Hindi language: CM Trivendra

Dehradun: While addressing the seminar on “Justice to people in public language” organized by the Indian Language Campaign, Uttarakhand at IRDT Auditorium at Survey Chowk. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that we should be proud of our languages and traditions. There is a sense of belonging in our language. Our effort is to get justice in the public in own language. He said that adequate gunds will be provided to the High Court so that there is an arrangement for giving decision in English along with Hindi.

Chief Minister said that efforts have also been made to promote own language, culture and costume in the state. The practice of indigenous costumes has been introduced in the convocation ceremony at Universities. We have to understand the importance of our language. Today, one language is being expired in the world per hour. Experts of language understands its importance and are also concerned in this direction. We will have to end this issue ourselves and if we take this initiative firmly in this direction, surely it will be successful in promoting our language. Our language also influences our understanding. We also see dreams in our own language. We have to try to break the outer shell of foreign language. He said that during his visit to countries like Thailand, Singapore, he spoke in Hindi with Indian origin immigrants, who were residing there and then they appreciated it very much. It displays people’s attachment to their language and culture.

Chief Minister said that acceptance of Hindi today has not only increased in the country but also abroad. While Hindi is being taught in 32 of the US universities, Hindi is also included in 7 languages of websites. There should be efforts that Hindi should also be the language of the honorable Supreme Court  and High Courts. Chief Minister said that today we also need to spread the teachings of our great men. For this, programmes are being organized in the schools on the occasion of their birth anniversary. In the Ramayana, Shri Hanuman is such a character who never gave up, who has never failed, he is the biggest management guru. This type of information should be with the students. On this occasion Mr. Atul Kothari, Patron Indian Language Campaign, presented the journal of Education Culture Upliftment Trust, New Delhi to the Chief Minister.

On this occasion, Mr. Atul Kothari said that the structure of the states in the country was done on the basis of language and on 14th September, 1949 Hindi was made State language. In Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar, there is a system for decision making in English along with Hindi in the High Courts. This arrangement should also be done in Uttarakhand. He said that there should be work in English as well as Hindi in the courts of the country. For this, he told the need for will power. He said that our opposition is not from the English language, but it should not be imposed forcibly. He also advocated to cooperate in this. He also emphasized on running ideological movement for this and said that it will give positive results in dealing with the work in his language.
