Parliament LIVE: Congress protests saying Manmohan Singh’s loyalty to country questioned

The ongoing winter session of Parliament resumed on Tuesday a day after the Congress party demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi forinsinuating his predecessor Manmohan Singh colluded with Pakistan in Gujarat polls.

A parliamentarian from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also brought up Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh election results, saying in the Lower House that BJP was headed for a victory in both states.

The winter session began on December 15 and it will conclude on January 5 next year.

12:10pm: RS chairperson Venkaiah Naidu firmly asks parties to keep the sanctity of the House and suggests the parties should meet outside to discuss Congress’ displeasure over allegations against Manmohan Singh.
