Exhibition on “Nature for Water” Delhi Zoo to Mark World Water Day

New Delhi: An exhibition on the theme – “Nature for Water” was organized by National Museum of Natural History, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in collaboration with National Zoological Park for school and college students of Delhi at National Zoological Park (Delhi Zoo) today.  About 150 students along with their teachers from two schools – Arya Gurukul, Rani Bagh, Delhi and Shanti Devi Kanya Gurukul, Sainik Vihar, as well as Lady Irwin College, Delhi took part in the programme.

 Students raised slogans to promote awareness about the need to save water at a rally taken out on the occasion. Director, National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), Ms. Naaz Rizvi interacted with the students and encouraged them to undertake small, Green Good Deeds to save and conserve water, especially drinking water.  A documentary on the importance of conservation of water was also screened.

 Director, NZP, Smt. Renu Singh inaugurated the exhibition, Education Officer, NZP, briefed the students about the animals in the zoo and explained how to use water judiciously.
