Compensation to disaster victims should be distributed immediately: Chief Minister

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the progress of the announcements made for all the assembly constituencies of district Pauri Garhwal, Tharali assembly constituency of district Chamoli and Rudraprayag assembly constituency, through video conferencing at secretariat. In the meeting, Cabinet Minister Mr. Prakash Pant, Mr. Madan Kaushik, Mr. Satpal Maharaj, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, Mr. Subodh Uniyal, State Minister for Higher Education Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Mr. Mukesh Koli, Shmt. Ritu Khanduri, Mr. Dilip Singh Rawat, Shmt. Munni Devi Shah, Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh, senior government officials, District Magistrates of Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pauri from the district headquarters and other district level officers were present.

Tharali: During the review of the development works, Chief Minister instructed that during the shed construction work, special attention should be paid on preserving the rain water and water conservation. It was informed in the review meeting that proceedings in connection with road improvement and shed construction in Nanda Devi Temple Kurud are in progress. Bus service has been started from Dehradun to Deval. Proposal is being prepared for beautification of Laatu temple. Proposal for establishment of Sainik Smriti Kendra in Sawad of Deval will be sent to the government within a week. The land for the construction of the Ghat College has been selected. The construction of a pedestrian bridge in Dhattarbagad has been done by the army. Proposal for construction Sitel-Latela-Kanol Motor route, Bura to Aala-Jokhna-Sitel Motor route, Ban Motor Road via Suttol-Kanol, Bajbagad to Ruison motor route will be sent to the government by the first week of August. Flood protection work on the right bank of Pinder River in Busatra Tok, Deval, will be completed by December 2018. Asad Simli canal revival work in Narayanbagad will be completed by December 2018. Chief Minister also took information from District Magistrate Chamoli about the updated status of the Badrinath yatra route during rains and the traveler’s facilities.

Rudraprayag: Chief Minister instructed the district administration to start the work of distribution of distribution of plants for the promotion of herb production in development block Jakholi Ghangasu Bangar of ​​Rudraprayag. It was informed in the meeting that the construction of the building Government Primary School Taidi has been completed. It was informed that 30 per cent construction work of the Government Primary School Jakholi has been completed. An approval order has been issued for the construction of pipeline in the Sumadi Drinking Water Scheme. About 60 per cent construction work of the parking in Rudraprayag has been completed and the remaining work will be completed within one month. Signage will be installed for the convenience of the tourists on NP 58 of Rudraprayag.

Kotdwar: Chief Minister instructed the concerned officers that considering the future requirements of Kotdwar and keeping the facility of Yatris in mind, they should consider on the possibility of operating Roadways Depot Kotdwar and Bus Depots of GMU at one place. While instructions to speed up the flood protection work for disaster protection in Kotdwar, Chief Minister said that compensation to disaster victims anywhere in the state should be distributed immediately and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated. The state government is always with its citizens in every situation. It was informed in the meeting that so far the funds to the tune of about Rs 45 lakh have been released by the government to develop Kanvashram as tourist destination. The work of establishing Riverbed Filtration Plant near Aamdali and Ransula in Dugdadda is in progress and it is likely to be completed by August 31, 2018. Kanvashram has been declared a state fair.

Lansdowne: In Lansdowne, out of the total 26 announcements, 20 are complete. Chief Minister issued strict instructions to launch a special campaign for the disposal of garbage in Lansdowne. He said that while issuing licenses to hotels, it should be taken care of what arrangements have been made for the waste disposal and sanitation by the hotel owners. It should be ensured that the hygiene standards of the hotels are strictly adhered to. Chief Minister said that we have to pay special attention to the cleanliness and beautification of our tourist cities. It was informed in the meeting that roadways bus service has been resumed on daily basis in Kotdwar-Lansdowne. The land for construction of mini stadium in Kumaldi of Rikhnikhal has been selected. Steel Guarder Bridge work of Garhkot link road in Jayharikhal has been started and will be completed by March 2019. Land has been made available for multi-story parking in the Lansdowne Cantt area.

Chaubattakhal: In this area, out of six announcements, four are complete. During the review of the Bhairavgarhi Pumping Drinking Water Scheme, Chief Minister instructed that all the pipelines should be made underground. Pipelines must be underground especially in view of the beautification of tourist cities. Simultaneously, Chief Minister instructed the Secretary School Education that in order to balance the student-teacher ratio, to cater to the lack of teachers and to ensure quality education the students, Digital Smart Classes and K-YAN Device should be used. It was informed in the meeting that the process of DPR for the construction of the lake on the river Nyar on Upstream near Satpuli is in progress.

Srinagar: Out of 19 announcements made for the area, 13 are complete. It was informed that the land for the construction of the stadium in Khirsu has been selected and the process of preparation of DPR is in progress. The construction of drinking water scheme for Bhugani is in progress and it will be completed by December 2018. The construction of the motorway in the area is under progress. Approval has been received for establishment of co-operative bank in Khirsu. The process of developing Khirsu as tourist town is underway.

Yamkeshwar: Chief Minister issued instructions that funds should be allocated for efficient management and organizing of Kanwar Mela in Neelkanth. It was informed by the officials that the DPR of Jaladi Gram Sabha Panchayat Drinking Water Scheme in Yamkeshwar has been prepared. The work of changing the LT cable and the increase in the Phase in various villages of Yamkeshwar has been completed. Thalnadi Gaind Mela has been declared a state fair. The proceedings for the DPR for the construction of a 200-meter span bridge on Bean River near Gangabhogpur on Cheela Pashulok motorway are on. One additional 108 ambulance service in Yamkeshwar will be made operational till the end of August. DPR is ready for the Kadthi Kothar Pumping Drinking Water Scheme.

Pauri: In Pauri assembly segment, out of total of 22 announcements, 11 are complete while proceedings on seven are on. The construction of the Pauri bus stand will be complete by March 2019. Digital X-Ray machine will be installed in the District Hospital Pauri within a week. The proceeding for the beautification of Kandoulia is in progress. The work of opening skill development centers at Pauri headquarters is in progress. Action on the construction of Ghudauri Bilkedar Pumping Water Scheme is under progress. Arrangements for solar lights and lighting in Ramlila Ground will be made.
