Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that foolproof arrangements should be ensured for the investors Summit. All the preparations should be made by the end of this month. All essential information should be easily available to the entrepreneurs and investors, who will be attending the summit. There should be enough number of counters for this and the higher level officers should be given the responsibility.
At the venue of Investors Summit, there should be a glimpse of the natural beauty and culture of Uttarakhand. During a meeting held at Chief Minister Secretariat, preparations for the “Destination Uttarakhand: Investors Summit”, scheduled to be held in Dehradun on October 7 and 8, were reviewed. Chief Minister said that to participate in the summit, a large number of industrialists from India and abroad, CEOs and entrepreneurs of different companies will come. They will be told as why it is beneficial for them to invest in Uttarakhand. All their queries will be answered. For this, all updated information should be on fingertips of all the departmental officers, especially those related to the areas being focused in the summit.
Chief Minister said that special attention should also be given regarding availability of backwards linkage for investors. For this, women’s self help groups should be associated. Selected students from technical colleges and universities should also be given the opportunity to participate in it. This will give them a lot of things to learn. We can also take advantage of this opportunity to promote tourism in Uttarakhand, especially winter tourism. Tourism is also the main focus area of the Investors Summit. In this, “fog free winter tourism” could be the punch line.
Chief Minister said that cleanliness of the city, betterment of roads, beautification etc should be done at war footing level. In any case, all the preparations should be completed by the end of this month. Uttarakhand dishes should also be kept in the food being served to the investors and entrepreneurs participating in the summit.
It was informed in the meeting that the main event will be held at Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium, Dehradun. A blueprint for the preparations has been made and the arrangements are being made accordingly. Online registration has been started. Apart from this, invitations have also been sent to entrepreneurs. By creating 12 sectors, the secretary-level officers have been given their responsibility. Venue map will also be displayed at the entry point. Prime Minister will address the inaugural session of the two day summit and Union Home Minister will address the closing session. During the two-day summit, sessions will be organized on agriculture and food processing, manufacturing, education and skills, infrastructure, IT, health and wellness and film shooting. Various Union Ministers, State Government Ministers, Secretaries and renowned industrialists from the country will address the sessions. Eight committees have been formed for all the arrangements.
