Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has wished the people of the state on the occasion ‘Chaitra Navratras’ and beginning of Indian New Year. He wished for the wellbeing and happiness in the lives of people of the state. In his message, Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that this festival is of great importance in Indian Culture. He said that the festival of ‘Navratras’ showcases importance and calibre of women in our society.
He said that worship of girls on this day, signify women-power. He said that daughters are making us proud in every field at the state as well as national level and called for respect and honour of women. He reiterated the commitment of his government for women empowerment, under the ‘Save Girl, Eductae Girl’ (Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao) campaign.
