HNBGU Gives ‘Special Opportunity’ to Students to Complete Their Degrees

Srinagar : Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University (HNBGU) has issued a significant relief notification for students who were enrolled under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and could not complete their degrees due to a single pending paper.
As per the decision taken in the 25th meeting of the University’s Academic Council, students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes during the academic sessions from 2015-16 to 2021-22 have been given a final “Special Opportunity” to complete their degrees.
Who Can Avail the Special Opportunity?
Students enrolled between 2015-16 and 2021-22, whose degree remains incomplete due to failing or missing only one paper (theory or practical) in any semester, will be eligible to appear in the special examination.
Important Conditions and Dates
Online application begins: September 28, 2026
Last date to apply: October 15, 2026
Examination fee: ₹5,000
Examination centre: Birla Campus, Srinagar Garhwal
Affidavit: Candidates will be required to submit an affidavit stating that they will not seek such an exemption or special opportunity again in the future.
Schedule of the Special Examination
For Odd Semesters, the examination will be conducted along with the university’s December 2026 examinations.
For Even Semesters, the examination will be conducted along with the main examinations in May 2027.
