In a tragic road accident, six daily wagers were killed in Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana in the wee hours of Monday. The deceased were returning from a Ginning mill in Gadwal town.
The mishap took place when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle near Parcharla of Dharoor block.
It is learned that 35 labourers were present in the vehicle when the tragic incident took place. 15 people sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Gadwal hospital. According to the reports, the condition of 10 persons is said to be critical.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Rao, the driver of the van who might have fell asleep on the wheel, lost control over the vehicle causing the accident. Five of the victims died on the spot, while one more died undergoing treatment at Gadwal hospital. The condition of fifteen others are said to be critical injured.
