Dehradun: On “Mother’s Day” – greeting and wishes to all the mothers. For the entire world, all of you are an important pivot of social and family relationships and without you, this entire world is incomplete. It is being said that mother and motherland are great than the heaven and I feel myself very fortunate that with your love and blessings, I got the privilege to serve you both. The respect with which I served my mother, with same feelings, I am committed to serve my motherland Uttarakhand.
I am working for the state with full honesty and transparency. First year of every government is not for counting its achievements but for laying a strong foundation but in the last one and half year, we have not only laid the foundation of the development but have done many important works. Government exchequer in reality is hard earned money of the people, which should be used for the welfare of the people. Henceforth, I curtailed the monthly wasteful expenditure to the tune of lakhs by stopping the programmes of the Chief Minister being held in big hotels and started the same at the ‘Janta Milan’ auditorium, so that this money could be utilized for the welfare works of the people.
Our government has implemented online service for allotting liquor shops and mining to check illegal practices. He said that Transfer Act has been implemented in the state and it helped to save lakhs of rupees of employees who used to seek help of touts by paying money for transfers. Similarly, scholarships and pensions have been linked with ‘Aadhar’ putting a check on corruption.
It is mentioned in epics, ‘Ytra Nayarastu Pujayanto, Ramanta Tatra Devta’, means that Gods prefer to stay in those places, where women are worshipped. He said that women play an important role in our society from birth till death. He said that we should work to improve their present so that their future can be better. He said government is making efforts for girls’ security, education, prosperity and empowerment.
Uttarakhand is a land of Teelu Rauteli, Rami Baurani and Gaura Devi and I know very well understand that what kind of recognition women deserve. He said that government has launched ‘Devbhog Prasad Yojna’, three women self-help groups have sold Prasad worth Rs 19 lakh in two months in Badrinath shrine and earned a profit of Rs nine lakh. He said training has been imparted to women for making LED equipment in growth centres, government is providing loan upto Rs one lakh at an interest rate of one percent to single women so that they can start their own business.
Two women banks have been set up in Dehradun and Haldwani and banks are being run by women employees. ‘Vaishnavi Health Kit’ has been provided for newly born baby girls, and the government is disturbing laptops to meritorious girl students in the state. He said ‘Sakhi e-rickhshaw’ scheme has been launched for single women in the state.
My mothers and sisters kindly maintain your trust in me and I will never let you down. I will serve the state as per your aspirations.
I know that some people are not happy with my methodology and working but I would like to tell them that I would take more stringent and hard decisions in the interest of the state in future and if the results of such decision are positive and in the interest of the people, those would be continued but if any such decisions are not conducive in the interest of the people, those would be changed immediately. In the end my heartfelt greetings to you on Mother’s Day and I hope that you will keep showering your blessings and love on my government and me always.
