CM Rawat met students of Selaqui International School

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat met students of Selaqui International School at his residence. During the informal get together, students asked Chief Minister various questions. On being asked by  a student about politics as a career, Chief Minister replied that he never considered politics as a career but took it as an obligation to work. He further said that politics should not be considered as a career but a medium of social work and public service. On the question of migration from the state, Chief Minister replied that through better education, health facilities, employment opportunities, the migration could be effectively checked. The population residing in border areas has strategic value as local people play an important role in giving moral courage and information to army and security forces.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also encouraged the administration and students of Selaqui International School to adopt some government schools in Selaqui area for better education, health and other modern facilities in such government schools. Chief Minister said that by helping the economically poor students, they can repay the debt of their teachers. He said that this would inculcate the sense of social service and interest in social causes amongst students. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that people from different states choose Dehradun for education since the climate and law and order situation in the state is favourable.
